Art for Arts Sake

There's a wonderful scene in the film 'Castle Keep' where the character played by Peter Falk, a US army sergeant throws away his carbine and turns his back on the madness surrounding him. At that moment he rediscovers what his real calling was, and had always been he was a baker. He took off with a Flemish bakers wife and baked bread as mayhem engulfed the civilised world. For too many years my art has lain dormant, and I now owe it to myself to rekindle the joy it once gave. I am a painter and I want to paint for no other reason than it is what I was born to do. If the following pictures raise a smile or encourage you to dream a little, that to will bring a little joy. If you have a calling of you own, your lucky, take it.
